Ten Hag Signs New Five-Year Deal
Leads United to Historic FA Cup Victory
Manchester United have announced that Erik ten Hag has signed a new five-year contract, extending his stay at the club until 2029.
The Dutchman has enjoyed a successful first season at Old Trafford, leading the team to the FA Cup title – their first major trophy since 2017 – and finishing third in the Premier League.
Ten Hag's impressive start has convinced the United hierarchy to offer him an extended deal, which will see him earn a reported £10 million per year.
The former Ajax manager expressed his delight at signing the new contract, saying: "I am very happy to be staying at Manchester United. This is a great club with a great history and I am excited about the future."
United CEO Richard Arnold said: "Erik has done a fantastic job in his first season at the club. He has brought a winning mentality to the team and we are confident that he will continue to build on our success in the years to come."
