Chad Daybell Found Guilty in Triple Murder Trial

BREAKING NEWS

Jury Reaches Verdict After Two Days of Deliberation

BOISE, Idaho (AP) — A jury has found Chad Daybell guilty of three counts of first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit murder in the deaths of his first wife, Tammy, and two of his second wife, Lori's children, Joshua "JJ" Vallow and Tylee Ryan.

The verdict came after two days of deliberation following a six-week trial. Daybell, 55, showed no emotion as the verdict was read.

"This is a just verdict," said Fremont County Prosecutor Lindsey Blake. "Chad Daybell murdered three innocent people in cold blood. He deserves to spend the rest of his life in prison."

Daybell's attorney, John Prior, said he was "disappointed" by the verdict and planned to appeal.

Lori Vallow, who is charged with the same crimes, is scheduled to go on trial later this year.
